Madeleine Fey, a sophomore at Midlothian High in Texas, won the girls discus throw with an opening-round mark of 163-8 (49.90m) at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Fey also secured sixth place in the shot put final at 45-0.25 (13.72m).
